Position Summary

We are currently seeking a qualified Electrician to take on responsibilities related to the installation and maintenance of electrical control systems, wiring, and lighting setups. This role requires a technical college degree in electrical work and relevant experience in handling electrical systems. The Electrician will collaborate with various levels of management and staff to uphold safety standards and foster a culture of safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical control systems, wiring, and lighting installations.
  • Interpret technical diagrams and blueprints accurately.
  • Conduct general maintenance on electrical systems.
  • Inspect and assess transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical components.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues utilizing appropriate testing equipment.
  • Repair and replace electrical equipment, wiring, and fixtures as necessary.
  • Adhere to the National Electrical Code and comply with state and local building regulations.
  • Perform corrective maintenance on circuit breakers.
  • Maintain knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems along with various testing devices.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Completion of an electrician apprenticeship program.
  • Demonstrated experience in the electrical field.
  • High school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Technical college degree in electrical work.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow both verbal and written instructions and schematics.
  • Proficient in operating various hand tools.
  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
  • Knowledge of Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
  • Basic mathematical skills and familiarity with measuring equipment.
  • Strong teamwork capabilities.
  • Proven safety background and reliable attendance record.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Capability to stand or walk for extended periods, up to 8 hours.
  • This role may involve various physical activities, including walking, standing, bending, stretching, and using hands to grasp, push, and lift items.
