Job Summary

Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team at one of our state-of-the-art automotive service, repair, and tire sales centers in the Mundelein, IL area.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and performing a wide variety of automotive services on customers' vehicles, including brakes, struts, and shocks.

Our Automotive Technicians are trusted to complete state-mandated inspections, change oil and filters, check fluids, replace worn parts, and dismount, mount, rotate, and balance tires.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and diagnose vehicle problems
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs
  • Complete state-mandated inspections
  • Work with customers to understand their vehicle needs

Requirements:

  • 2 years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance
  • Extensive tool box of personal tools used in performing undercar repairs
  • State inspection license(s) and ASE Certifications in Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5) preferred
