Shipping Coordinator

Accurate Staffing is seeking an experienced Shipping Coordinator to join their team on a full-time basis.

Job Summary:

The Shipping Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and performing all essential functions for outgoing orders. This position will also be responsible for receiving select purchased items and maintaining inventory records.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review open customer orders and prepare daily shipments.
• Prepare skids or boxes for shipment.
• Record weights, parcel count, and packaging dimensions.
• Select carrier based on customer, location, cost, and other related factors.
• Record cost and provide to A/R for invoicing.
• Schedule carrier pick-ups.
• Generate shipping labels, packing slips, Bill of Lading, and any other customer required paperwork.
• Complete shipping transactions in company accounting software.
• Communicate status of Shipping/Receiving activities to Customer Service and Production Controller.

Requirements:

• Operate L.P. Forklifts to load product onto box trucks and semi-trailers.
• Move product within facility using forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Must be detail-oriented.
• Able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Outlook).
• Able to work overtime as needed.
• Willingness to ask questions and ask for help when needed.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing facility a plus.
• Previous experience with UPS WorldShip and 3PL (Third Party Logistics) a plus.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Participate in Open Order Status meetings.
• Verify inventory levels on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
