Job Overview

We're seeking an experienced Automotive Service Manager to lead our team of skilled technicians and service advisors. As the linchpin of our shop, you'll drive both day-to-day operations and long-term strategic goals. Your leadership will be pivotal in maintaining our reputation for high-quality work, customer satisfaction, and fostering a team culture that celebrates success and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and Inspire: Manage and mentor a team of high-performing service professionals, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee the location's daily operations, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Customer Focus: Ensure an outstanding customer experience, handling escalations with empathy and professionalism.
  • Growth & Development: Identify and implement strategies to drive the growth of the service department, including training initiatives and process improvements.
  • Performance Management: Set clear goals and expectations for the team, regularly reviewing performance and providing constructive feedback.
  • Financial Management: Manage the service department budget, including labor costs, parts inventory, and profitability targets.
  • Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the team.
  • Organizational Development: Collaborate with our other service managers, general manager, and owner to identify growth opportunities, develop strategies, and implement action plans.
  • Commitment to Individual Growth: Participate in continued training and education, both in-house and off-site.
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience as an Automotive Service Manager or in a similar leadership role within the automotive industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to manage and improve operational processes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Financial acumen and experience managing budgets.
  • Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
  • A collaborative mindset and a passion for fostering a positive team culture.
