Job Title: Exercise Specialist - Cardiac Rehabilitation

At PIH Health, we are seeking a highly skilled Exercise Specialist to join our Cardiac Rehabilitation team. As an Exercise Specialist, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing exercise training guidelines and sessions for cardiac rehabilitation patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer fitness assessments on an outpatient population and provide exercise expertise as needed
  • Develop and implement exercise training guidelines and sessions for cardiac rehabilitation patients
  • Evaluate and interpret expired gas values, pulmonary function tests, and body composition assessments
  • Develop individualized exercise guidelines for healthy and high-risk individuals and cardiac patients
Requirements:
  • Masters Degree in Exercise Science or related field
  • Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association
  • Extensive clinical experience in the management of post-operative and post-myocardial infarction patients
  • Administrative experience in cardiac rehabilitation
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification as an Exercise Specialist or higher from the American College of Sports Medicine or equivalent
  • ACLS certification
