Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Paraprofessional with Registered Behavior Technician certification to join our team at The Menta Group. As a key member of our educational staff, you will work closely with classroom instructors and staff to provide targeted teaching and support to students in the classroom, as well as general support for all students in the school.

Responsibilities
  • Manage classroom behaviors and maintain a safe and orderly learning environment.
  • Report behavioral concerns of students to appropriate staff and implement behavioral program policies and data.
  • Provide general supervision of students inside the school setting and assist in the prevention and management of incidents of non-compliance and/or escalation in behavior.
  • Respond to emergency situations and provide interventions to students to assist in managing behaviors.
  • Think quickly, independently, and tactfully to address the needs of students and staff.
Qualifications
  • Certified Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification.
  • Paraprofessional Certification is ideal, but not required (we will help you obtain that).
  • Security or Juvenile Justice background is helpful.
  • Military Veterans are encouraged to apply.
  • Good driving record and willingness to drive student van (no CDL needed) is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to operate tactfully under stress and flexibility to change in routines.
  • At least 23 years of age and able to work with high-risk special needs students.
