Your Responsibilities
In this position, you will:
- Develop and enforce compliance policies and procedures.
- Conduct research on compliance matters and suggest necessary modifications to ensure adherence to regulatory obligations.
- Assess the potential impacts of risks and implement effective controls to mitigate them.
- Oversee the compliance program by estimating risks, conducting audits, and providing guidance to the organization.
- Prepare detailed compliance reports and analytics for senior management and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure that departmental goals and milestones are achieved.
- Contribute to the development and execution of the company’s risk and compliance strategies.
- Proactively identify compliance challenges and integrate business insights to address them.
- Participate in cross-functional committees and represent the Risk Management Department in significant organizational decisions.
- Design and deliver compliance training programs.
- Assist senior management with federal and state disclosure requirements.
- Analyze data to detect instances of fraud, waste, and abuse.
- Manage external vendors to ensure timely and budget-compliant deliverables.
- Support other Risk Management initiatives as needed.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
- At least five years of experience in healthcare compliance, risk management, or a related area.
- Strong understanding of healthcare compliance laws and regulations.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proven ability to distill complex information into clear, actionable insights.
- Experience in identifying and implementing process improvements.
- Strong relationship-building skills across various organizational levels.
- Excellent project management capabilities.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in a related discipline.
- Experience in a healthcare provider setting.
- Healthcare Compliance Certification or equivalent professional certification.
