About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our NICU team at Williamson Health. This is a part-time (PRN nights) opportunity for a compassionate and experienced nurse to provide exceptional care to our patients.

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse in the NICU provides specialized obstetric and neonatal care, focusing on patient-centered treatment and emotional support. This role requires a nursing diploma or degree, state licensure, and competencies in neonatal care. The successful candidate will have experience in patient assessments, care planning, and documentation, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform comprehensive assessments of patients within the designated time frame, utilizing observation, communication, and examination skills.
  2. Plan individualized care for patients, identifying problems/needs, nursing diagnosis, standards of care/practice, interventions consistent with identified problems, and attainable outcomes.
  3. Provide patient teaching, discharge, and post-discharge needs as appropriate for the patient population.
  4. Function independently with treatments, procedures, and equipment appropriate to the area, adhering to policy, procedure, and competency-based assessment.
Requirements
  • Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university.
  • Licensed in the State of Tennessee.
  • BLS within 90 days of hire.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within six months of hire.
  • Able to function in stressful situations.
  • Special Care Nursery/NICU experience desirable.
