Pharmacist - Clinical Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our team at Bay Mills Indian Community. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our pharmacy, ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications, and providing exceptional patient care.

• Supervise and manage pharmacy staff, including pharmacy technicians and interns
• Review and interpret prescription orders, ensuring accuracy and safety
• Dispense medications with a high degree of accuracy, minimizing risk to patients
• Counsel patients on medication use, health issues, and general wellness
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to plan, monitor, and evaluate drug therapy
• Manage pharmacy inventory, including controlled substances and Schedule II medications
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including the 340B program
• Provide education and training to pharmacy staff and students
• Maintain accurate records and reports, including patient profiles and inventory management

• Active and unencumbered Registered Pharmacist license in the State of Michigan
• Doctor of Pharmacy degree or Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy
• Three years of pharmacy experience, preferably in a supervisory or management role
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

This position requires the ability to stand for long periods, walk, and lift up to 25 pounds. The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with frequent interactions with patients, staff, and healthcare providers.
