Job Description

As a Counter Sales Associate at Airgas, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and support in the sale of medical, industrial, and specialty gases, welding equipment, and hard goods and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Solicit sales from walk-in and telephone call-in customers, assisting with product identification and location.
  • Accurately complete and file all required paperwork, documenting sales, quotes, and other information.
  • Enter sales and quote data into the computer system, researching information for customers as needed.
  • Receive payment for merchandise or services sold and adhere to administrative and accounting procedures.
  • Restock store merchandise, arrange stock on shelves or racks, and maintain showroom cleanliness.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of customer service, sales, warehouse, or similar experience, preferably with industrial-related products.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Google and/or MS Office Applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines.
