Employment Support Specialist/Café Associate

The Easterseals Blake Foundation, a leading provider of comprehensive behavioral health services and support for individuals with disabilities, is seeking a dedicated Employment Support Specialist/Café Associate. Our mission is to create meaningful opportunities for individuals and families across Southern Arizona.
Role Summary:
This role involves close collaboration with the Café Manager to facilitate job coaching for adults with disabilities while assisting in the operations of the Main Street Café.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to established protocols for food preparation and assist supported employees in executing their job responsibilities.
- Receive training in safe food handling practices and ensure compliance among supported employees.
- Maintain punctuality and communicate any scheduling conflicts to the Café Manager in advance.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the Café and its equipment, supporting employees in these tasks and reporting issues promptly.
- Exhibit professionalism in all interactions with customers, staff, and supported employees, employing constructive problem-solving techniques.
- Manage the opening and closing procedures of the Café, including financial documentation.
- Participate in required in-service training sessions.
Additional Duties:
Maintain accurate records for supported employees, including attendance and payroll, and ensure timely completion of all necessary documentation.
Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster teamwork and address conflicts professionally.
- Demonstrated reliability and adaptability in performing job duties.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Understanding of individual planning processes and job task training strategies.
- Ability to manage time efficiently and adhere to scheduled commitments.
- Familiarity with relevant policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of developmental disability systems and best practices in supported employment is advantageous.
General Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in job coaching and restaurant settings is preferred.
- Must maintain current Level One Clearance Card and certifications in CPR, First Aid, and other relevant training.
- Successful completion of background checks is mandatory.
