Job Overview

Position Title: CNC Programmer and Machinist Specialist

We are in search of a proficient CNC Machinist to execute programming and machining tasks for components used in the fabrication of tailored manufacturing equipment. This role involves close collaboration with engineering teams to develop and design custom parts for production, as well as the actual production of these components for specialized projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Setting up and operating CNC machinery
  • Performing offsets and programming parts
  • Conducting quality assurance checks using precision measurement tools

This position offers a first shift schedule with flexible start times to accommodate individual needs, along with a competitive benefits package.

Compensation: $27-32/hour

Work Schedule: 1st shift - 6am-2:30pm (flexible start times available)

Essential Skills

Technical Skills:

  • Extensive experience in CNC programming (Essential)
  • Proficiency with Horizontal Boring Mills (Essential)
  • Experience with CNC setups
  • Familiarity with Vertical Mills
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Expertise in precision measurement

Interpersonal Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks
  • Effective problem-solving abilities
Work Environment

The operational setting includes primary machinery such as Giddings & Lewis Horizontal Boring Mill, alongside Mazak 30/50 Vertical Mill and Mazak H1000 Horizontal Mill. The workplace is focused on designing, manufacturing, and assembling custom machinery, maintaining a clean yet dynamic atmosphere with various ongoing projects.
