About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Cafe Service Ambassador at The Bay Club Company. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for creating and serving food and beverages in the Cafe, maintaining Cafe cleanliness, and providing the highest level of Customer Service and Hospitality.

Responsibilities

The Cafe Service Ambassador will be responsible for:

  1. Greeting customers as they enter and exit the Cafe
  2. Creating and serving food and beverage items
  3. Promoting daily specials and encouraging upgrades to each order
  4. Operating cash register, processing payments through cash or credit card handling and/or member account charges
  5. Cafe opening and/or closing duties, as required
  6. Maintaining a clean, safe work environment according to State and Local food safety standards
  7. Understanding and anticipating the needs of our members and guests; being attentive, listening carefully and following through; providing exceptional customer service
  8. Communicating timely and following up as appropriate
  9. Active participation in events, programs, meetings, and training
  10. Representing the club in a professional manner through image, dress, communication, and immediate follow through and response
  11. Scheduling varies and may require weekend and holiday hours, days, and evenings

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum one (1) year of Customer Service experience (food service industry experience preferred)
  • Food Safety certified
  • Professional, friendly manner and excellent customer service attitude and abilities
  • Strong verbal communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Enthusiastic, responsible, and dependable team player
  • Self-motivated, takes initiative, anticipates the needs of others, and willing to acquire new skills
  • Well-organized and detail-oriented
  • Detail-orientation and high cleanliness standards

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an Associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the Associate is regularly required to stand for extended periods; use hands and fingers, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. The Associate is occasionally required to walk; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell. The Associate must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Estimated Salary Range

$40,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
