Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Float Pool team as a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse. This is a unique opportunity to work in various hospitals and facilities within the Aurora Healthcare system, providing exceptional patient care and developing your nursing skills and relationships.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, ensuring safe and therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Coordinate patient care with other healthcare team members, promoting collaboration and effective communication.
- Assume a leadership role in the care team, delegating tasks to unlicensed personnel as needed.
- Participate in quality and process improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and departmental functions.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in Nursing.
- Typically requires 1 year of experience in clinical nursing.
- Proficient computer skills, use of electronic mail and electronic medical records systems.
- Demonstrates coordination, collaboration, delegation, and team building skills.
This position requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently throughout the workday. May be exposed to chemical and hazardous waste as well as blood and body fluids and communicable disease. Therefore, protective clothing and equipment must be worn as necessary.
