Radiation Oncology Specialist Job Description:



We are seeking a skilled Radiation Oncology Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Dosimetrist, you will work closely with radiation oncologists and medical physicists to design treatment plans for cancer patients.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Design treatment plans using computer and/or manual computation
  • Consider dose-limiting structures in the design of treatment plans
  • Coordinate treatment simulations and tumor localization on dedicated devices
  • Supervise, perform or assist in the planning of beam modifying devices and immobilization devices
  • Perform calculations for accurate delivery of prescribed dose
  • Provide physics and technical support to the Medical Physicist
  • Assist in intracavitary and interstitial brachytherapy procedures


Requirements:



To be considered for this role, you must have satisfactory completion of formal training in medical dosimetry and eligibility to sit for medical dosimetry boards. A Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) certification within 1 year is also required.



Estimated Salary Range: $85,000 - $110,000 per year
