The Senior Painter is a highly skilled professional responsible for delivering exceptional painting services to various properties within the Kalispel Tribe. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of painting techniques, materials, and best practices to ensure high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure quality meets all KDEV standards
- Protect surfaces, trimmings, fixtures, windows, etc. through the completion of the painting project
- Prepare, prime, sand, seal, patch, and paint interior or exterior surfaces utilizing various painting materials
- Mix, match, and apply paints and other finishes to various surfaces
- Provide decorative and faux finishes per the contract documents
- Prepare the surrounding area by covering with cloth or plastic to prevent messes
- Select and purchase paint, brushes, and other supplies from approved vendors
- Operate, clean, and maintain all painting equipment, including brushes, rollers, and sprays
- One-year certificate from college or technical school
- 15+ years of commercial, industrial, facilities, or residential painting experience
- 5+ years as a painter with the Kalispel Tribe or at the discretion of the Director of Projects & Construction Management and Construction Project Superintendent
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Tribal Work Permit
- Valid Driver's License (Must be in possession while operating a Tribal Vehicle)
- Certification is required to operate a forklift
