Job Summary

The Children's Home of Pittsburgh is seeking a Full-Time Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team. As a dynamic therapist, you will work with a range of clients served through all of our programs, providing counseling to children who have experienced grief, loss or trauma, and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide counseling to children and families adjusting to medical diagnoses, grief, loss, or trauma
  • Work as part of a counseling team and participate in regular treatment team meetings
  • Develop and implement trauma-informed interventions and evidence-based therapeutic approaches
  • Build strong relationships with clients and communicate effectively with all ages, backgrounds, and belief systems
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field
  • Current, active PA clinical license (LPC or LCSW)
  • Minimum one year experience post licensure in clinical work with families and children
  • Strong knowledge of mental health conditions, trauma, and evidence-based interventions
