Aircraft Sheetmetal Technician Senior

Join Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation, a leading manufacturer of business jet aircraft, as a Sheetmetal Technician Senior. In this role, you will be responsible for safely laying out, fabricating, and installing parts, equipment, and fabricated items on aircraft, following established operating procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Use complicated schematics, blueprints, and technical instructions to perform sheetmetal layout, fabrication, and installation of parts, equipment, or fabricated items on aircraft.
- Mentor and train other Sheetmetal Technicians, ensuring their work meets quality control standards.
- Oversee projects or other technicians, assessing requirements and procuring necessary materials and documentation.
- Operate shop equipment, such as brakes, presses, riveting equipment, shears, and hand tools, to shape and form complex angles and configurations.
- Comply with all safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies, using personal protective equipment as required.
- Advanced knowledge of sheetmetal or fabrication processes, including forming, drilling, stamping, shaping, bending, punching, cutting, riveting, filing, and dimpling.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.
- Valid driver's license to operate towing and other Gulfstream transportation equipment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to adapt to sudden schedule changes and work any shift.
