Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Mental Health Hospital Operations Manager to oversee the entire hospital operation during administration's absence. The successful candidate will ensure seamless day-to-day operations, maintain high standards of patient care, and contribute to the hospital's commitment to changing lives.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee hospital operations, including supervising staff, managing schedules, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Assist the Director of Nursing (DON) in conducting department meetings, training, and education programs.
  • Collaborate with the nursing team to deliver quality patient care, adhering to treatment plans, and ensuring effective communication with patients and their families.
  • Implement and maintain efficient systems for medication distribution, medical care, and discharge procedures.
Requirements
  • 21 years of age or older.
  • Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program.
  • Current unencumbered license to practice nursing by the State Board of Nursing.
  • CPR Certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days of employment.
Preferred Experience

Previous experience in psychiatric healthcare facilities, particularly in chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, and geriatric patient care. Familiarity with patient assessments, family motivations, treatment planning, and communication with external review organizations.
