Your New Role At Societal:

We are seeking a highly skilled Metrologist II to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for calibrating and maintaining equipment at our designated sites, ensuring maximum uptime and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop calibration work schedules and supervise external contractors to ensure maximum uptime of related equipment.
  • Perform calibration, maintenance, and repair of instrumentation, ensuring accuracy and precision.
  • Review and approve calibrations performed on equipment by internal and external calibrators, providing technical input and evaluations.
  • Research operating specifications of new equipment, obtain suitable standards, and establish calibration acceptance criteria.
  • Write standard operating procedures, standard certification methods, and instructions in compliance with FDA, USP, NIST, or other applicable guidelines.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metrology, with a minimum of four years of experience in a regulated environment. An associate degree in a science or engineering discipline is required, or equivalent trade, military, or relevant technical training may be considered in lieu of formal degree. ASQ Calibration Technician Certification (or equivalent) is also an asset.
