Job Summary

The Schoolcraft College is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Computed Tomography Instructor to join our faculty team. As a Computed Tomography Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the field of Computed Tomography.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Computed Tomography courses to students in a classroom setting
  • Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of students and the program
  • Mentor and advise students in their academic and professional development
  • Stay current with industry developments and advancements in Computed Tomography

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Medical Imaging or related area
  • Current ARRT & CT certification
  • Three (3) years full-time experience as an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registered technologist in the post certification area of Computed Tomography

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Medical Imaging or related area
  • Five (5) years full-time experience as an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registered technologist in the post certification area of Computed Tomography

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents
  • Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints
  • Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style
  • Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on complex topics

Mathematical Skills

  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations

Reasoning Ability

  • Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems
  • Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism in its most difficult phases
  • Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables

Work Environment

  • The work environment is a laboratory setting
  • The employee must be able to correctly follow all safety rules and regulations
