About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Banquet Manager to join our team at Marriott Schaumburg. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional banquet events that exceed our guests' expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and document the outcome of each event to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance the overall guest experience.
  • Coordinate the daily operations of the banquet area, including purchasing supplies, managing event space set-up, and ensuring proper staffing levels for events.
  • Communicate with customers to understand their banquet event needs and preferences, and work with them to create customized event plans that meet their budget and expectations.
  • Develop and implement departmental rules, processes, and quality standards to ensure consistency and excellence in banquet services.
  • Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure seamless execution of banquet events and provide exceptional customer service.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a hospitality management role, preferably in a food service capacity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • High school graduate or equivalent, with a degree in hospitality management or a related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service and managing high-volume events.
