Job Title: Outdoor Bike Instructor

Mount Prospect Academy is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Outdoor Bike Instructor to join our team. As a key member of our education team, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational development and enrichment of our students.

Job Summary:

The Outdoor Bike Instructor will work closely with our education team to ensure the safety and well-being of our students while participating in the education program. You will provide supported instruction and assessment to students as outlined by the teacher in support of their academic coursework or Individual Education Plan (IEP) needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist educators and provide supervision of assigned students while in school.
  • Provide supported instruction and assessment to students as outlined by the teacher.
  • Participate in class activities, including physical education, art, and other activities.
  • Assist with behavioral interventions within the classroom, modeling and using ARC principles.
  • Assist with substitute lessons as assigned by the teacher and/or Dean of Students.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation, including attendance, incident reports, and daily academic reports.
  • Assist with monitoring and supervising transitional times, lunch, and school activities.
  • Participate in student meetings, such as IEPs and ITPs, as assigned.
  • Participate in staff meetings as required.
  • Maintain students' confidentiality at all times and report all pertinent information to the supervisor.
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Satisfactory background check.
  • Associates degree or higher preferred.
  • Two years' experience interacting with children/youth, such as camp counselor, coach, or babysitting.
