Health and Wellness Director

Mira Vie at Montville is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Director of Health and Wellness to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the health and wellness of our residents, ensuring their needs are met, and providing exceptional care.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough health assessments of new residents and monitor their health status through regular assessments and care conferences.
- Supervise and coordinate personal care services, ensuring staff compliance with policies and procedures.
- React promptly to suspected resident abuse, conducting thorough investigations and notifying appropriate parties.
- Supervise and train Assisted Living and Memory Care personnel, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
- Attend daily management meetings, staff meetings, and other meetings as delegated by the Executive Director.
- Conduct community audits to monitor staff compliance with policy and procedure and ensure community security.
- Review incident reports, conduct investigations, and report/plans corrective action as required.
- Work with the Executive Director to ensure Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities in the building.
- Ensure all employees work in a safe manner and that unsafe actions are managed.
- High School Diploma required.
- Licensed or Registered Nurse required and/or state-specific accreditation.
- 2+ years of experience as an LPN or RN; one year in home health, assisted living, or long-term care preferred.
- 1+ years of nursing management experience, including hiring, coaching, performance management, scheduling, and daily operations supervision.
- Experience in tracking, trending, and analyzing clinical performance data preferred.
