Medical Assistant Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to provide high-quality patient care and support our clinical team at MCN - Biltmore Park. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring our patients receive efficient and compassionate care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for examination and treatment by taking vital signs and obtaining medical histories.
  • Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, including sterilization and maintenance of equipment.
  • Assist physicians with minor surgeries and physicals, as well as administer injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy.
  • Answer telephone calls and screen referrals to ensure timely and effective communication.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program or one year of direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Active and unrevoked RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, or NCRMA certification/ABR-OE credentials are highly preferred.
  • Candidates with one year of Medical work experience who do not possess Medical Assistant Certification must obtain Certification within one year of hire date.
