Job OverviewPosition Summary

The Multilingual Security Personnel is tasked with maintaining a vigilant presence through the observation of surveillance systems, conducting thorough inspections of facilities, and overseeing access points. This role is crucial in ensuring safety and security by coordinating with local authorities when necessary. Responsibilities include reporting any irregularities, informing individuals of established policies, and preventing unauthorized access to the premises.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise individuals in care, ensuring constant visibility and safety.
  2. Administer the Information, Personnel, and Industrial Security Program with technical expertise.
  3. Ensure the safety and security of the facility at all times.
  4. Collaborate with IT specialists to conduct security program evaluations and assist subordinate organizations in compliance monitoring.
  5. Maintain the upkeep of the building and surrounding areas.
  6. Work with facilities management to ensure compliance with security, cleaning, and maintenance protocols.
  7. Support cleaning staff and vendors to uphold the professional appearance of the facilities.
  8. Conduct regular inspections of office spaces, parking lots, security equipment, and outdoor areas.
  9. Oversee the activities of external contractors or vendors on the property.
  10. Respond to emergencies within the building, including fire drills and weather-related alerts.
  11. Promote security awareness to meet educational and training requirements for the facility.
  12. Demonstrate an appreciation for cultural diversity, developing inclusive practices that cater to the diverse needs of the client population.
  13. Ensure that program operations comply with legal standards and internal policies.
  14. Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Age Requirement: Must be 21 years or older.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year in monitoring or related fields.
  • Background: Prior experience in enforcing policies and regulations is preferred.
  • Experience with youth: 1 year of work or volunteer experience with juveniles is advantageous.
  • Education: A degree in a Human Services field is preferred.
  • Training: Security and Safety training is preferred.
  • Language: Must be bilingual (English/Spanish).
  • Note: Willingness to undergo training at various locations is required.

Work Environment:

This position primarily involves office work, with occasional travel, public speaking, and evening or weekend commitments. Regular computer use is expected. Physical requirements include standing, walking, sitting, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, along with depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
