Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Lions Gate, a not-for-profit continuing care retirement community rooted in Jewish traditions and values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and treat individuals with speech, language, voice, and fluency impairments.
  • Evaluate speech and language test results, review barium swallow results, and assess overall medical background information.
  • Educate patients and family members on communication techniques and strategies to cope with impairments.
  • Write reports and maintain client information for evaluation, treatment progress, and discharge.
  • Perform administrative responsibilities, coordinate paperwork, and schedule case management activities.
  • Develop individual and group activities to manage behavior, speech, language, or swallowing problems.
  • Participate in and write reports for meetings regarding patients' progress.
  • Instruct clients on techniques for effective communication.
Requirements
  • Current State License and Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC)
  • Graduate with a master's degree from an accredited physical therapy program
  • 3-5 years of experience preferred
