Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory team at Geisinger Medical Center. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care during cardiac catheterization procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care before, during, and after procedures
  • Assist physicians with adult catheterization procedures, percutaneous transluminal coronary interventions, and other associated procedures
  • Record, monitor, and assess hemodynamic data collected during catheterizations
  • Complete patient records accurately and in a timely fashion
  • Establish and maintain rapport with patients throughout procedures
  • Continuously monitor patients' physiologic and psychological status throughout procedures
  • Initiate and maintain IV access
  • Administer ordered medications, intravenous drips, and emergency medications before, during, and after procedures
  • Operate specialized equipment used in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory in a safe and efficient manner
  • Respond appropriately to emergency situations within the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of RN experience
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification within 6 months
  • Basic Life Support Certification
  • Licensed Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania)
