Job Summary

Gryphon Place is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Youth Suicide Prevention Training Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for implementing our Gatekeeper Program curriculum in middle and high school classrooms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Implementation: Present the Gatekeeper curriculum to middle and high school students, engaging them in the program and communicating effectively with them in person and in writing.
  • Student Support: Refer students to counselors when necessary and promote Helpline, 211, Peer Mediation, and Restorative Justice Program to students.
  • Data Management: Document data and maintain accurate records.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma/GED
  • Transportation: Must have own transportation
  • Availability: Must be available during some school hours, with consistent availability from Monday to Friday
  • Training: Must successfully complete mandatory training program
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience: Experience working with youth
  • Communication Skills: Ability to present information and interact effectively in a classroom setting
  • Public Speaking: Comfortable with public speaking and have a high energy level, dynamic presence
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to work independently, manage time and stress effectively, and have good verbal and written communication skills
