Job Title: Pediatric Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pediatric Nurse to join our team at Hutchinson Clinic P.A.

Job Summary:

The Pediatric Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients under the direction of a physician or healthcare provider. This includes assessing patient needs, developing individualized care plans, and implementing evidence-based practices to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide professional nursing care to pediatric patients, including administering medications, performing routine procedures, and documenting patient information.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Assess patient needs and provide education to patients and families on health promotion, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, including medical history, treatment plans, and outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Kansas.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • At least 6 months of experience in a similar or related healthcare position.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion.
Working Conditions:

The Pediatric Nurse will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. The ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and maintain a calm and professional demeanor in high-pressure situations is essential.
