The Role

We are seeking a Production Line Associate to join our team. As a Production Line Associate, you will be responsible for handling hot and cold products, raw materials, and finished goods. This will involve assisting with the preparation, cooking, assembly, weighing, and packaging of products, as well as documenting production numbers and operating basic machinery safely.

Key Responsibilities
  • Production Operations: Follow daily line assignments as directed by supervisors or leads, using simple tools and equipment, and may include following recipe guidelines to assist with food preparation and cooking tasks.
  • Quality Control: Ensure daily production is completed efficiently, on time, and meets company quality standards.
  • Record Keeping: Update and maintain accurate production records, including math calculations, scan and update data in computer and digital scorecard.
  • Product Handling: Load, pack, and seal products into cases and palletize as needed.
  • Inspection: Inspect production goods, containers, and packaging materials to ensure they meet company standards.
  • Food Safety: Demonstrate knowledge of kitchen health, safe food storage, and safety guidelines.
  • Compliance: Adhere to proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures by following company standards, GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practice), maintaining temperature and HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) logs as required.
  • Safety and Security: Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, quality programs, and report any safety issues or unsafe conditions.
  • Teamwork: Participate in safety training and keep work areas safe and orderly through regular housekeeping.
  • Training and Development: Train others, demonstrate best practices, and willingness to adapt, grow, and take on new responsibilities, including rotating jobs and becoming certified on machinery.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Ability to work independently and well with team members in a fast-paced environment, showing a teamwork attitude by respecting and supporting team members.
  • Attendance and Punctuality: Be dependable, punctual, and adhere to company attendance with regular attendance as an essential job function.
Requirements
  • Physical Demands: Tolerate extreme temperatures, wet and humid environments, and high noise levels while wearing protective devices.
  • Physical Abilities: Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and stand for extended periods, as well as walk, reach, bend, smell, listen, speak, and see in order to perform the essential job duties.
  • Lifting and Moving: Work around moving mechanical parts and frequently lift, push, and slide packages up to 50lbs (occasionally up to 70lbs).
  • Cognitive Abilities: Demonstrate attention to detail, effective time management, and adaptability in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Communication Skills: Read, write, understand simple instructions, and perform simple math calculations.
  • Availability: Flexible to work extended days, weekends, and be available for call-backs.
Education and Experience
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent a plus or related experience.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform mathematical calculations and unit conversions.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Manual Dexterity: Good manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination.
  • Forklift Experience: Forklift experience is a plus.
  • Language Skills: Bilingual in Spanish/English a plus.
