This position is for a Quality Control Inspector role with a focus on ensuring product quality and compliance. The position involves working on the 2nd shift and is structured as a contract-to-hire opportunity.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct inspections during receiving, manufacturing, and assembly processes.
  • Offer technical support regarding inspection and measurement systems.
  • Utilize CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) for essential inspections, including GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) evaluations.


Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in testing and inspecting components, assemblies, and machine parts.
  • In-depth knowledge of measurement devices and inspection tools.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Control.
  • Preference for candidates with automated CMM experience; manual CMM experience is also acceptable.
  • Familiarity with calibrated gauges and inspection equipment.
  • Ability to accurately measure using precision instruments such as Vision Systems, CMM, micrometers, and Vernier dial calipers.
  • Experience in documenting assembly, machining, and inspection records.
  • Skilled in blueprint interpretation and understanding precision tolerances.
  • Hands-on experience with GD&T and CMM.
  • Strong mathematical abilities for measurement tasks.
  • Proficient in using PCs and Manufacturing Data Systems.
  • Experience in supporting Quality and Operations teams.
  • Capability to identify, segregate, and manage non-conforming materials according to established procedures.
  • Knowledge of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) devices.
  • Ability to read and comprehend safety regulations, operational and maintenance instructions, procedural manuals, and Quality System Manuals.

This role is suited for individuals with a robust background in Quality Assurance/Control, particularly within a manufacturing context, and who possess experience with CMM and GD&T methodologies.
