Key Responsibilities:

• Engage in all aspects of telecommunications construction, including but not limited to loading, driving, delivery, excavation, removal, and installation of various construction materials and equipment.
• Utilize hand tools and mechanical equipment for digging tasks.
• Install and maintain underground telecommunications cabling.
• Operate or work in proximity to heavy machinery and equipment.
• Work effectively in congested or remote locations.
• Maintain visual and audible communication with crew members and all moving or stationary personnel/vehicles/objects to ensure safe operations.
• Perform general construction tasks under the supervision of a Foreman/Supervisor.
• Adhere to safe working practices and conditions in compliance with all regulations, procedures, and policies.
• Learn various aspects of the crew's operations and assist the operator and foreman as needed.
• Prepare, set up, and clean up construction sites.
• Develop an understanding of buried utilities.
• Lift and transport heavy equipment and supplies.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Ability to work with hands and utilize provided tools to complete assigned tasks.
• Capability to read, comprehend, and create drawings, diagrams, and other relevant documents.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a proven track record of establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
• Attention to detail is essential.
• Basic knowledge of telecommunications, fiber optics, utilities, etc.
• Regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including potential adverse conditions such as high humidity, extreme temperatures, strong winds, and precipitation.
• Regularly required to use hands for various tasks; bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and communicate effectively. Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, and climb or balance. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly.

Requirements:

• Valid Driver's License.
• Successful completion of a background check.
• Pass a drug screening.
• CDL required.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
