Nurse Assistant

Job Summary:
At Baptist Health, we are seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team in the Telemetry/Med Surg department. As a CNA, you will provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN) or other licensed care team member.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with personal hygiene activities such as bathing, dental and oral care, hair, and nail care.
- Assist patients with bowel and bladder functions while maintaining dignity.
- Record patient intake and output (I & O).
- Collect, label, and transport specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Change and transport soiled and contaminated linens according to procedure.
- Maintain clean and tidy patient room/environment.
- Assist patients with activity, turning and repositioning as indicated by provider order and in collaboration with the nurse.
- Communicate pertinent patient information/findings to patient's nurse.
Requirements:
Current Kentucky Nurse Aide Certification required or successful completion of first year of a Nursing program and validation of a clinical rotation consistent with level of education.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Basic Life Support (must be obtained within three months of hire).
