Who Are We Seeking?
The Surface Metrology Support Engineer will be instrumental in the operation, maintenance, and optimization of our metrology instruments, including Scanning Electron Microscopes (SEM), Transmission Electron Microscopes (TEM), and Focused Ion Beam (FIB) systems. This role demands a robust technical foundation, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct SEM analyses, encompassing imaging, elemental analysis, and defect characterization.
- Perform FIB cross-sections and analyze results for failure investigation and process enhancement.
- Train on and operate additional surface analysis methodologies, such as profilometers, nano-indenters, CMP (Chemical Mechanical Planarization), and four-point probes.
- Collaborate with researchers and engineers to deliver metrology support for ongoing initiatives.
- Maintain detailed records of equipment upkeep, calibration, and troubleshooting activities.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related discipline.
- 1-5 years of experience in operating, troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating sophisticated analytical tools such as SEM, TEM, FIB, or similar systems.
- Familiarity with surface analysis techniques beyond SEM and FIB.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
