Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Essentia Health. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care through assessment, planning, intervention, education, and evaluation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general and critical care respiratory care procedures and diagnostics on patients of all ages.
  • Provide mechanical ventilation, airway management, critical care transport, and other respiratory care services as needed.
  • Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited respiratory care/therapy program.
  • Hold and maintain certification by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or a Certified Respiratory Therapist, or equivalent.
  • Hold state licensure in the appropriate state of practice upon hire or have applied and are waiting for state licensure in the appropriate state of practice to award licensure not to exceed 30 days from date of hire.
  • Basic Cardia Life Support (BCLS) certification within 1 month of hire.
