Position Summary:

As a Lift Operator, you will serve as a vital support role, ensuring the safe operation of our advanced lift systems. Your responsibilities include facilitating the safe and efficient travel of guests and fellow staff members across our premier mountain terrain. Embrace the season in a role that continually offers memorable experiences.

Position Specifications:

  • Expected Pay: $20.00 / hour
  • Shift & Schedule Availability: Full Time and Part Time
    • Working between 8-10 hours/day.
    • Availability on weekends and holidays as required.
  • Skill Level: Entry Level

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor passenger safety while providing guidance and customer service during the loading and unloading of lifts; adjust lift speed as necessary.
  • Operate the lift to maximize chair capacity in accordance with operational guidelines.
  • Alert maintenance or dispatch regarding any repair or maintenance needs.
  • Collaborate with the Lift Maintenance team to understand proper lift equipment operation.
  • Implement emergency protocols as needed, including contacting Patrol.
  • Prepare the lift for operation prior to setting up the maze; establish and dismantle the lift maze daily per standards.
  • Adhere to all company and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including lift shacks; dispose of trash as necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • No prior experience is necessary; comprehensive training will be provided.
  • Ability to make swift decisions and exercise sound judgment regarding safety, while multitasking and anticipating potential issues.
  • Physical capability to assist guests during lift loading; may need to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in a mountain environment for extended periods.
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays as required.
  • Ability to manage high guest volumes professionally.
  • Flexibility to perform various tasks within and outside of the assigned area, especially during peak periods.

The expected pay range is $20.00. This reflects the compensation we anticipate for this position, with individual pay decisions based on various factors.
