Job Description

We are seeking a highly qualified Optometrist to join our team in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of North Carolina. This is a fixed-term position, and the individual will practice the full scope of Optometry under the direction of the Chair of the Department.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to teaching and education, excellent patient care skills, and proven clinical expertise. They should be licensed to practice in the state of North Carolina and have a successful graduation from an American School of Optometry.

Responsibilities:
  • Practice the full scope of Optometry under the direction of the Chair of the Department
  • Teach and educate students and trainees in the field of Optometry
  • Provide excellent patient care services
Requirements:

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A successful graduation from an American School of Optometry
  • Licensure to practice in the state of North Carolina
  • Proven clinical expertise in the field of Optometry
  • A strong commitment to teaching and education
  • Excellent patient care skills
Salary:

The salary for this position is estimated to be between $120,000 and $180,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
