Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse Lead to join our team at WellSpan Health. As a key member of our clinical team, you will provide clinical oversight and guidance to assigned personnel, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical guidance and oversight to assigned personnel, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.
  • Assist in the referral process, answering questions from other staff regarding referrals.
  • Perform clinical supply ordering and receiving, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of supplies.
  • Act as a clinical resource for staff and patients, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Monitor Point of Care quality controls, ensuring compliance with policy, procedure, and regulation.
  • Assist in the monitoring of clinical work flows, identifying and reporting any observed bottlenecks.
  • Provide timely communication to the Clinical Nursing Coordinator and/or Practice Manager regarding all clinical concerns and issues.
  • Provide staff training for clinical updates and changes, ensuring all staff are up-to-date on the latest procedures and protocols.
  • Ensure timely follow-up for all Coumadin patients, including oversight of Coagulation Tracker.
  • Assist with clinical staff schedules, clinical floater requests, and paid time off requests.
Requirements
  • Associates Degree or Diploma in Nursing from an accredited LPN program.
  • 1 year of experience in a WMG office.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license upon hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.
  • Completion of the WMG Preceptor Class upon hire.
