Job Overview:
The Housekeeping Room Attendant plays a vital role in ensuring the pristine condition of guest accommodations.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong service orientation with a comprehensive understanding of customer service principles.
- Exceptional communication abilities to effectively share information and ideas.
- Capability to comprehend and follow instructions related to cleaning agents.
- Proficient in utilizing cleaning supplies and equipment safely and efficiently. Availability for weekend evenings and holidays is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive room assignments from the Supervisor at the start of each shift.
- Ensure your cleaning cart is adequately stocked and prepared.
- Understand the proper protocol for entering guest rooms.
- Upon entering a room, position your cart appropriately to facilitate cleaning.
- Adhere to a systematic approach for cleaning both occupied and vacant rooms to ensure thoroughness.
- Inspect rooms for any damage to furniture or equipment.
- Immediately report any damages or missing items to your Supervisor.
- Return any found items in guest rooms to Lost and Found, documenting the date, location found, and your name.
- Notify the housekeeping team that the room has been cleaned and indicate its occupancy status.
- At the end of your shift, restock your cart and dispose of any trash and soiled linens to prepare for the next day.
- Address guest inquiries and provide assistance as needed.
- Guide guests with directions and information upon request.
- Report any suspicious activities or hazardous conditions to the Safety/Security Department.
- Offer guidance for guest and employee safety during emergencies.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by your Supervisor.
