Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Chemical Dependency Counselor to join our team at the Lumberton Treatment Center.

About the Role:

  • This is a full-time position that involves working with clients who are struggling with chemical dependency issues.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive clinical assessments, developing person-centered plans, and providing counseling services to clients.
  • They will also be required to maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with colleagues and other professionals.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments for new and existing clients to identify their treatment needs.
  2. Develop person-centered plans that address each client's unique needs and goals.
  3. Provide counseling services to clients, including individual and group therapy sessions.
  4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client progress and treatment plans.
  5. Communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and other professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  6. Participate in regular treatment team meetings to discuss client progress and develop strategies for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling, or a related field (master's degree preferred).
  • LCAS certification and licensure as a substance abuse counselor.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a treatment team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of chemical dependency and counseling principles and practices.

Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.
