Inpatient Nurse Practitioner

We are looking for a dedicated Inpatient Nurse Practitioner to enhance our ProMedica Physicians Hematology Oncology team.

Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily inpatient rounds and collaborate closely with the attending oncologist on patient care.
- Engage in telehealth consultations as necessary.
- Assist in the transition of care from inpatient to outpatient settings.
- Educate patients about various treatment options available.
- Identify and manage health-related issues linked to cancer.
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families.
- Contribute to cancer research aimed at improving treatment protocols.
- Offer resources to patients and families to promote positive health outcomes.
- Involve patients and their families in the development of treatment plans.
- Regularly monitor and document patient progress.
- Record care provided, including patient responses to treatments.
- Participate in shared call responsibilities as required.
- Fulfill rotating weekend call obligations.

Qualifications:
- Must be a licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Eligibility for licensure in Ohio and Michigan is required.
- Experience in oncology is preferred.
- Certification to practice is mandatory.
- Current CPR certification is essential.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
- Excellent organizational abilities are required.
- Capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment is essential.
- Commitment to achieving high levels of patient satisfaction is expected.
- Pre-employment screening, including drug testing, is required.
