POSITION OVERVIEW

Amsted Automotive Group is currently in search of a dedicated Afternoon Shift Press Operator. This role entails the setup and management of line dies, including transfer dies, within stamping presses.

SHIFT DETAILS:
  • Day Shift: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
  • Afternoon Shift: 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM (includes a 15% shift premium)
  • Midnight Shift: 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM (includes a 15% shift premium)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Operate and manage equipment including press transfer and feeder systems.
  • Participate in setup and changeover processes.
  • Run presses in production mode to achieve set production targets.
  • Conduct visual inspections of parts to ensure quality standards are met, and report any issues to the relevant personnel.
  • Perform quality checks and utilize checking fixtures to uphold high-quality production.
  • Ensure that all parts containers are accurately labeled for identification, including SAP labeling.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in the work area, adhering to 5S standards.
  • Complete daily production reporting and update visual Downtime Boards.
  • Act as a wastewater handler following appropriate environmental training.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as required.
  • Embrace and promote Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Engage actively in the Elimination of Waste Team meetings.
  • Support the overall goals and objectives of the company.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A minimum of three months of experience with press and feeder operations is required.
  • Familiarity with computers and productivity machinery, including control panels.
  • Working knowledge of IATF16949, ISO 14001, and Q1 compliance standards.
  • Experience in a dynamic automotive manufacturing setting.
