Sound Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sound Technician to join our team at The Grand | Ritz Theater. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality sound production for performances, concerts, corporate events, and other live productions.

• Operate and maintain sound equipment during rehearsals and live events.
• Collaborate with event coordinators, producers, and other technical staff to achieve optimal sound quality and effect.
• Set up and configure sound systems, including microphones, amplifiers, speakers, and mixing boards.
• Conduct sound checks and make adjustments to ensure balanced and clear sound delivery.
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to sound equipment and systems promptly and effectively.
• Integrate sound cues and effects with lighting and other technical elements during events.
• Manage and organize sound libraries and cues for different types of events.

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Sound Technician or similar role in a live event environment.
• High level knowledge and understanding of sound engineering principles and techniques.
• Hands-on experience with operating and troubleshooting sound equipment, including microphones, mixing consoles, amplifiers, and speakers.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing event requirements.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Familiarity with industry-standard software and equipment, particularly Qlab.
• Experience with lighting consoles, especially the ETC range, is a significant advantage.

• Certification or formal training in sound engineering or a related field.
• Experience in live event production beyond theatrical settings, including concerts, corporate events, and festivals.
