Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
1. Lead initiatives aimed at refining existing manufacturing methodologies to drive down costs, enhance quality, and boost efficiency.
2. Ensure that released products maintain the highest standards of quality, reliability, and timely delivery.
3. Develop and implement manufacturing, production, and testing protocols, including the creation of necessary tools and fixtures.
4. Generate and distribute manufacturing documentation while providing training for assembly personnel.
5. Foster continuous improvement in products and processes to minimize production costs and elevate quality standards.
6. Maintain meticulous control and documentation of manufacturing and production workflows.
7. Champion the company's Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
8. Collaborate with vendors to procure technical products and services that enhance operational capabilities.
9. Identify and mitigate costs associated with non-quality factors such as scrap, rework, and warranty claims.
10. Analyze failure trends and partner with technicians and engineers to implement corrective measures that reduce overall failure rates.
11. Evaluate and qualify new materials and equipment as they approach the end of their lifecycle.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Physics.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies and root cause analysis is advantageous.
- Experience in ultrasonic acoustics is preferred.
- Candidates with advanced degrees (MS/PhD) and less experience will also be considered.
