Description

This position involves routine manual labor focused on the cleaning and upkeep of county facilities and surrounding areas. The individual in this role is responsible for a variety of sanitation and maintenance duties. Work is conducted according to a set routine and will be regularly evaluated by a supervising foreman to ensure adherence to cleanliness standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dust and wash furniture, shelves, and other surfaces in offices
  • Vacuum carpets and clean floors
  • Mop and scrub floors and staircases
  • Dispose of trash and recycling, replacing liners as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness in restrooms and restock supplies
  • Clean windows
  • Strip, wax, and polish floors using appropriate machinery
  • Rearrange furniture as necessary
  • Clear snow from walkways and entrances
  • Notify foreman of any required repairs
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Ability to learn cleaning methods and practices
  • Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions
  • Careful handling of cleaning supplies and equipment
  • Physical capability to lift heavy items and perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, and stretching
  • Possession of a valid driver's license
Minimum Experience
  • Two (2) years of experience in cleaning and maintenance
