Job Description:

As an Infrastructure Quality Control Professional, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our construction projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting daily site inspections to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, and codes.
  • Developing and maintaining up-to-date project records and test reports.
  • Reviewing construction quantities and monitoring payments to contractors.
  • Functioning as the owner's agent during the construction process.
  • Ensuring quality assurance of installed work.
  • Monitoring and reconciling construction progress against schedules.
  • Communicating conditions and field conflicts to project supervisors and construction managers.
  • Interfacing with clients and contractors while working under the direction of project supervisors or construction managers.
  • Maintaining detailed records of contractor performance and progress.
  • Overseeing technical submittals, shop drawing reviews, and RFI processes.
  • Implementing temporary maintenance of traffic (MOT) and lane closures properly.
  • Evaluating contractor-issued change orders and claims, making recommendations to project supervisors or construction managers.
  • Assisting in compiling data for monthly reports.
  • Developing construction punch lists.
  • Working flexible schedules to meet project-specific requirements.
  • Exercising responsible decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, adhering to DME's policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in field inspection, including civil, mechanical disciplines on transportation projects (earthwork, utilities, infrastructure, roads, paving).
  • Highly familiar with construction inspection principles, field inspection practices, processes, methods, and techniques.
  • Knowledge of relevant construction codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements.
  • Able to read and interpret project plans, drawings, and blueprints.
  • Solid knowledge of MS Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Contract Management (CM14), Oracle Unifier, or e-Builder.

Estimated Salary Range:$80,000 - $110,000 per year.
