Job Summary

At Witham Health Services, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Laboratory Director to join our team. As a key member of our Clinical Lab, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and oversee all aspects of the Laboratory Department, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Lead a team of laboratory personnel, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality testing procedures and results.
  • Evaluate services, supplies, and equipment needs, maintaining quality control and registration/licensure oversight.
  • Develop and maintain all laboratory policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of laboratory services with other departments.

Requirements:

  • Qualifies as a general supervisor under current CLIA-88 regulations.
  • Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory/medical technology with at least 4 years of high complexity testing experience.
  • Training in a clinical laboratory training center, with certification as a CLS (NCA) or MT (ASCP) or equivalent.
