Role Summary:
Under the supervision of the Director, the Environmental Services Technician is responsible for adhering to established schedules to perform routine and deep cleaning of various areas within the facilities of Parrish Medical Center.

Primary Duties:

  • Dispose of waste and dust all surfaces.
  • Sanitize patient rooms using a systematic cleaning approach and maintain cleanliness in offices and common areas as scheduled.
  • Thoroughly clean restrooms and sanitize all fixtures daily.
  • Maintain cleanliness of furniture, fixtures, and other surfaces using approved methods.
  • Conduct spot cleaning of walls, windows, and carpeted sections as necessary.
  • Ensure housekeeping equipment is well-maintained and supplies are replenished.
  • Make beds, collect linens, and complete patient room turnover tasks according to established protocols.
  • Alert the Supervisor regarding areas needing extra attention, such as carpet shampooing or wall cleaning.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
  • Understand and adhere to fire, disaster, and safety protocols relevant to the work environment.
Qualifications:
Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
Experience:
  • 0 to less than 1 year
