The Facilities Maintenance Associate is a vital role at DLP Services, where we are currently seeking an individual to join our team. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of our building and ensuring client satisfaction.

About the Job:

  • We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented individual to maintain the cleanliness of our facility.


Position Title: Facilities Maintenance Associate
Hire Pay: $13.00-$15.00 per hour.
Classification: Part-Time/Temporary

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have the following key responsibilities:

  • Maintain the cleanliness of the building to meet client satisfaction.
  • Notify the store of their ETA prior to starting work.
  • Check-in with the Manager on Duty upon arrival.
  • Access the janitor's closet as required.


Restroom Cleaning

  • Deep clean walls, floors, sinks, partitions, mirrors, and toilets.
  • Clean all surfaces and fixtures in the restroom.
  • Including break rooms and training rooms.
  • Sweep and mop floors as needed.


Floor Scrubbing

  • The main racetrack only.
  • Pre-sweep if necessary.
  • Dump the recovery tank when full and refill it with water.


Trash Removal

  • Front Entrance.
  • Restrooms.
  • Breakrooms/Office areas.


Supervision

  • Receives supervision from the Lead Supervisor.
  • No formal assigned supervisory responsibility or authority.
  • Must complete jobs without constant supervision.


Working Conditions

The principal duties of this position are performed in an indoor and/or outdoor environment. Works standing and walking for prolonged periods while cleaning and/or sanitizing the work area. Steps, stoops, crawls, climbs, lifts, bends, kneels, pulls, and pushes while performing job duties such as heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing or pulling required of objects up to 55 pounds. Physical work is a primary part of the job. The work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions. Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, cleaning chemicals, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Pass a federal background check.


Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Effective interpersonal/communication skills.
  • Ability to understand written and verbal communications.
  • Ability to understand verbal instructions.
  • Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
  • Effective grooming skills.
  • Able to operate electronic devices for clocking in/out procedures.
  • Ability to operate vacuums and other related equipment.
  • Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and supplies.
  • Ability to lift, push/pull and manipulate heavy objects up to 55 pounds.


Additional Requirements

Please note that a valid Class C Drivers' License is also required for this role.
